“He drew a circle that shut me out;

Heretic, Rebel, a thing to flout.

But Love and I had the Wit to Win.

We drew a circle that took him in”

– Edwin Markham

My Healing Journey

I'm a passionate mental health counselor with over nine years of experience, dedicated to guiding individuals on their journeys toward healing and self-discovery. My healing and personal development path started with my own struggle with anxiety, leading me to the healing practices of movement, meditation, and self-inquiry.

My journey began with sports, martial arts, and yoga, which helped me develop a deep connection with my body and a healthier relationship with my emotions. Through these practices, I learned to navigate my emotional experiences more effectively and found my calling as a somatic therapist.

Driven through curiosity and a desire to understand myself and human nature, I embarked on a quest to explore the edges of human experience, immersing myself in modalities of self-inquiry, meditation, plant medicines, and other healing practices. These experiences, guided by trusted mentors from diverse backgrounds, offered profound insights and served as an alternative to traditional Western medications, aligning with my holistic approach to healing. Throughout this transformative journey, I realized the importance of trust and self-acceptance. Today, I strive to live a life grounded in sustainability and harmony for myself and those around me.

In addition to my personal journey, I bring a wealth of professional experience to my practice, having spent ten years in the mental health field, including four and a half years in wilderness therapy. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, studied Somatic Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Somatic Counseling emphasis from Prescott College. During my graduate training, I completed a two-year internship and clinical practice as a somatic counselor at La Plata Family Therapy and a nine-month clinical therapy training with Four Corners Counseling in Durango, Colorado. This academic foundation, combined with my studies and practice with Vipassana meditation and being a former student of The Ridhwan School for Spiritual Development (The Dimond Approach) allows me to offer unique and effective support to my clients.

In my free time, I cherish moments with friends and family, tend to my garden, explore woodworking, and continue to immerse myself in the joys of movement practices.

My goal as a counselor is to be your ally and guide, helping you heal from past wounds, uncover insights from your life, and live with greater meaning and purpose. Together, we can embark on a transformative journey toward healing and self-discovery.
